A Pregnant Cat's Tale

6:58am: Persia is gone
She died this morning at 4:00 AM.

She will be greatly missed by all of her humans and cat-family alike.

We love you, Crash. And we miss you, already.

4:11am: Announcing
today I suddenly realized that mittens is looking much thinner...

We knew she was pregnant, but weren't sure when she was going to give
birth...

We searched everywhere in the house... no kittens.

When we got home from mom's tonight Kyla and I decided to look for them again, because we were (obviously) freaked out by the fact that she had obviously had them, but we couldn't find them!

Kyla finally searched under our recliner chair...

And there they were! Momma cat (Mittens) and babies (FOUR). :) Kyla had never seen baby kittens that small before, so we all stared rapt at them for a long time and then put all 5 into a box and moved them gently into a safe spot. *giggles*

She had one fawn (almost white) baby (we think it is a boy) and three grey/brown/black babies (tiger striped and oh-so-adorable! Two girls and a boy, we think!).
